We spent Christmas Eve at my parents, where we ate copious amounts of food, and opened even more presents. I think Grace might have been a little gun shy at first but she jumped right in after she realized there were toys under all that pretty paper.
Grace made out like a bandit, bringing home a full load of toys, books, clothes, and even a little candy. Needless to say, by 11:30pm Christmas Eve, "Santa" and I were ready to crash. After filling the stockings and some last minute wrapping, I treated myself to a glass of wine (using my new glasses! thanks Mom!), and my first full viewing of "It's a Wonderful Life".

We were met with even more gifts from Great Grandma, aunts, uncles, and cousins (and Santa, of course!). Us adults enjoyed our first annual White Elephant exchange and had a blast (thanks for the turkey!). After the car was loaded and our bellies we full, we set our sights for home. On the ride home, I couldn't help but glance back and Grace, wondering if she expects this type of thing every day from now on!
